Garry Donnelly - Owner and Senior Instructor/Coach

With over 30 years of experience in the equine industry, Garry Donnelly has achieved success at many Equestrian disciplines. He is registered as a British Horse Society Intermediate Instructor (BHSII) and Neuro Linguistic Practitioner (NLP). 

He has Shown horses at County level competing in Working Hunter and Middle weight Hunter Classes, Evented up to intermediate level and has had success in Dressage at Advanced level. His has worked in equine management around the world, UK, Thailand, Singapore and Australia

Garry began his riding career at the Old Manor House Riding School in Oxford, under the watchful eyes of the late Patricia Halliday.  He continued his training, and gained a lot of experience working a few seasons with Ginny Elliot (Leng) with Point to Pointers and Hunters. He continued to train his horse, Eli with Gareth Hughes for a few years. He also worked in Asia, where he looked after the horses for Team Singapore Dressage Squad, where he was lucky enough to fly with them from Singapore to Thailand for the South East Asian Games.

He currently uses his knowledge and skills to train staff and students to achieve their goals and pass British Horse Society or Association of British Riding School exams. He is also a qualified First Aider and has completed  the Child Protection course and has been cleared with  DBS checks.  Check out our gallery and read the latest news and updates.

Yvonne Hutchinson

Yvonne Hutchinson - Part-time Groom/ Instructor

Yvonne has been working part-time at our livery yard for several years. With prior experience of teaching at a primary school, Yvonne has been a great success at instructing our younger clients. 

Yvonne has gained her BHS Stage 1 in Stable Management and hold the Horse Owners Certificates level 1 and 2. She is continuing her training to gain further BHS qualifications. She has also completed the child protection course and holds an equine specific first aid certificate.

Guy Moore - Instructor

Guy is an accredited British Horse Society AI and a UKCC Level 2 Coach who works as a freelance instructor in Oxford and the surrounding areas.

He enjoys teaching all ages and abilities and firmly believes it is important to make lessons fun for both horse and rider.

Guy has been riding as long as he can remember. While in Pony Club he represented his Branch on various teams and still likes to compete regularly, mainly Eventing and Show Jumping.  He is also a Pony Club Visiting Coach and has taught in Northern Ireland, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.

Mollie Iwanczak -  Part- time Trainee Groom/Instructor

Mollie has been riding at the Old Manor House Riding School since she was 6 years old. During that time she has grown to become a good all round horse woman, she has been trained by the late Patricia Halliday and then further training with Garry Donnelly.
 
She gain her British Horse Society Stage 1 certificate in 2014 then quickly gaining her stage 2 a few months later.

During her teen years, she competed on her own horse Loula at local shows and attended Pony Club Camps and Rallies with the Old Berks Hunt Pony Club.

Later, she had success in competing Garry's horses in Dressage competitions, where she qualified for the Isis Dressage groups Championships.

Mollie is at present studying for a History Degree at Plymouth University, where she is in her final year.

 Any free time, during Holidays or end of term, she returns to Oxford where she loves working on the yard. Under the instruction and training from Garry she likes to teach both Adults and Children and work on all yard duties to expand her knowledge. 

She hopes to gain her Preliminary Teaching Test certificate with the British Horse society during the summer of 2017. 

She has also completed the child protection course and holds an equine specific first aid certificate.

Our riding lessons

Martha Sivewright - Part-time trainee Groom

Martha has been coming to the stables since she was a little girl. She has worked with horses since leaving school and was able to gain her City and Guilds Equine level 1 Diploma, whilst studying with a program called "The seeds of change".

She is a valued member of staff who help maintain the smooth running of the yard, keeping both horses and yard in good working conditions.

Martha hopes to improve her skill in stable management and riding to gain some British Horse Society exams in 2016.

She has also completed the child protection course and holds an equine specific first aid certificate.
